Narrative Description of Project:

The Government of Bangladesh, with the financial assistance of the World Bank has undertaken a project through Bangladesh Water Development Board under Ministry of Water Resources to construct embankment, flashing inlets, sluice gate with a view to enhance crop production inside the polder by protecting overtopping of the flood water during high tide. In this project, KMC Ltd. is working as sub-consultant to DevCon to perform the work of preparation of Social Impact Assessment (SIA, Social Management Resettlement Policy Framework (SMRPF) & Resettlement Action Plan (RAP).

Description of Actual Services Provided by your Staff:

- Developed survey tools

- Conducted socio-economic survey using structure questionnaire and visiting house

to house

- Conducted market survey of the affected properties using structure questionnaire
